Become a Protégé
At PPCA, our goal is to enhance the lives of those with developmental disabilities. While it is fair to say that individuals with developmental disabilities often face challenges, they can nevertheless lead full, active, and productive lives. And what can often enhance and facilitate their fullness of life is the caring, encouragement, interest, and friendship with another person. In order to become a protégé, one must have OPWDD eligibility and complete the onboarding process with our program coordinators. Protégés will be eligible for one of the two existing programs funded by OPWDD. The first being Family Support Services, which is composed of individuals living with, and getting support from, their families. The other is Day Training, which consists of individuals who live on their own, with roommates, or in a group home called an Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA).
