visit to the mall, an ice cream, a walk around town, an hour or two of caring.
You wouldn't believe how much it means. Like everyone else, a person with developmental disabilities just wants to enjoy the simple pleasures so readily available to most of us: the sand at a local beach, an Italian pastry, the pulse of a busy park, a chance to hang out and chat.
A chance to be included.
It's really that simple. And you know something? Our volunteers find the experience of a one-on-one relationship tremendously rewarding.
